We want to thank everyone who came out to the Pi(e) Day benefit for Radio CPR! It was so successful that we ran out of pie after an hour and a half. Next time we’ll have to make more pies!

In the meantime, enjoy some photos from Pi(e) Day and a lovely write-up from its organizers at the Nothing-In-The-House pie blog.

Mark your calendars: Radio CPR is having a Pi(e) Day! On March 14 (that’s 3.14) at St. Stephen’s (1525 Newton St. NW). Highlights of the party will include all-you-can-eat homemade sweet and savory pies, live old-time music, Radio CPR Djs a-DJin’, and a Pi(e) Walk (walked in a circle of circumference pi(r)squared) where you can win a pie to take home!
The menu is looking fine, with banana cream pie with salty bourbon caramel, vegan avocado pie [a Pi(e) Day classic, 3 years running], a bacon onion tart, classic key lime, and a few surprises all on the list.

Experiencing a Significant Gravitas Shortfall: Program 14: @RedBaraat Tribute Show, or: Powerstrip Terror in Garbage Time [02.02.12]

asignificantgravitasshortfall:

Brass out the ass! This is the podcast that almost wasn’t. The Mighty Grouse is seriously considering starting a Kickstarter campaign to buy Uncle Matt an extension cord so he doesn’t knock out the power to the studio computer every time we switch shows. Stay tuned to the end for a song that was cut off when we lost power, plus one I forgot to play. Some non-brassy songs will be back on 2/16.
